Wojciech Szczesny proved he’s still a Gooner after Juventus beat Spurs on Wednesday evening and Arsenal fans are loving it… although a little bit emotional.

Woj has once again taken it upon himself to troll Spurs after Juve beat them 4-3 on aggregate in the Champions League.

Despite going 1-0 down at Wembley, the Serie A giants fought back to win 2-1 after drawing 2-2 at Juventus Stadium. As a result, the Old Lady go through to the quarter-finals and knock Spurs out.

Woj took to Instagram following the victory, which he was on the bench for, proclaiming that north London is red in a hashtag and saying that Spurs are ‘one of’ the best teams in the area.

He also did this to Spurs fans as he walked off the pitch:

Needless to say, Arsenal fans are both delighted at Woj’s post and heartbroken. While it’s funny, I don’t know a single Gooner who actually wanted the club to sell the 27-year-old last summer and seeing his nod to us definitely pulls at the heart strings.

‘Szczesny’s a Gooner’ is a phrase that Arsenal fans often chanted at Woj when they were sat behind his goal before he went out on loan to Roma in 2015. The goalkeeper had moved to north London in 2006 when he was just 15 and even adopted the local accent. As a result, Woj was a real fan favourite.

Fans’ love for Woj only intensified when he mercilessly trolled Spurs fans after Arsenal beat them 1-0 at White Hart Lane back in 2013.

It seems that the Poland international still believes that north London is red. I guess someone has to.
