Arsenal have announced two charity matches against Real Madrid, following the success of the legends match against AC Milan Glorie in 2016.

On Monday, Arsenal revealed the two matches on the club website. The first will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, June 3rd. Then they’ll return to London for a second meeting on Saturday, September 8th.

Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg, Gilberto Silva, Ray Parlour, Sol Campbell, Lauren and Tomas Rosicky are all on the list of players taking part from Arsenal. On the other side, Roberto Carlos, Xabi Alonso and Raul will play for Real Madrid.

We’ll have to wait and see who else joins the list before the two big days.

The first match will be played for Real Madrid’s foundation, and the second for The Arsenal Foundation. Last time out Arsenal fans helped raise £1m.

For those who didn’t follow the game in 2016, Papilo Kanu scored a hat-trick before Freddie Ljungberg and Robert Pires rolled back the years linking up for the fourth. It ended 4-2 to Arsenal. That day out was a lot of fun, and hopefully these two can match and surpass it.

Most importantly, the chance to watch a number of legends from a couple of massive clubs should raise a lot of money for charity.
