Arsene Wenger has a better win percentage over his Premier League career with Arsenal than Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp have with their current clubs.

Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport analysed the top 20 managers in the top five European leagues.

They put a table together based on each manager’s win percentage with their current club:

For those of you who don’t speak Italian, ‘partite’ means ‘games’, ‘vittorie’ means ‘victories’ and ‘perc. vittorie’ is ‘win percentage.

As you can see, Arsene Wenger isn’t the top manager in the Premier League. Antonio Conte, who won the title last year, and Pep Guardiola, who will probably win it this year, are a few places above.

Yet he’s above the rest of the big-six bosses.

Mauricio Pochettino has only managed a 56% win ratio in one of the best periods of Tottenham’s Premier League history.

Jose Mourinho is even worse off, with 55%, despite Manchester United’s massive spending under the Portuguese manager. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is lucky to make the list at all, sitting in 20th place with 52%.

Wenger is in ninth, with 58%, which is all the more impressive considering the length of time he’s been in charge.

Arsenal have had a lot of ups and downs over the years, but overall have still done well enough for the boss to compete with the top managers in Europe.

Hopefully he can push the side to keep improving.
