Vandals wrote a message in graffiti on Lucas Perez’s wall, except, it turns out the player doesn’t even live there anymore, according to his old neighbour’s amusing response.

Spanish outlet COPE posted the picture of the graffiti, saying “Lucas Perez go away” along with a message from a resident saying “Lucas no longer lives here, asshole”.

Journalists asked Deportivo loan striker Adrian about the graffiti. The Spaniard said he’s sure “the people of Depor want things to go well for [Perez]”. He added that he didn’t “want to give too much importance” to “one or two characters” who sent the message.

Even if the majority of fans do want the best for the Arsenal loanee, he’s clearly not popular with everyone.

Lucas hasn’t scored in the league since November 19th, a run of nine games without a goal.

To make matters worse, Deportivo have lost 7-1, drawn 2-2 and lost 5-0 in their last three matches. Although, in the striker’s defence, he did assist two of Depor’s three goals in those matches.

It’s disappointing, because the player made such a positive start to the season. Prior to the start of his league goal drought, he had four goals and an assist in six games.

It’s also a little worrying for Arsenal. The Gunners presumably want to sell Lucas to Spain permanently this summer, and this run isn’t doing his market value much good.

Hopefully it doesn’t last.
