After a difficult stint at Manchester United, Henrikh Mkhitaryan appears to be enjoying himself at Arsenal despite arriving just over a week ago.

Mkhitaryan was having a miserable time of it at United before he joined us.

He wasn’t getting regular game time, nor were his talents fully appreciated by his manager.

Arsenal gave him the chance for a fresh start and it appears to have reinvigorated him.

He got three assists in his home debut – a feat not achieved by an Arsenal player since Santi Cazorla against Wigan in 2013.

His three league assists for Arsenal also represent 50% of what he achieved during his entire United career in 39 games.

Speaking after the game, the midfielder said, as reported by Arsenal.com: “Our partnership was really good and I’m very happy for that.

“Not only because I assisted Auba, but also Aaron. It was a well-deserved win and we have to keep doing the same in the next games so we can get more points.

“We played very good attacking football in the first half. In the second half, it was a bit hard because we were already winning 4-0 and we were not as focused as we were in the first half.

“I can say that I really like the way Arsenal play and I hope for it to continue.”

Mkhitaryan spoke about his admiration for Arsenal’s style of play when he joined the club

If the Everton game is anything to go by, he’s going to have plenty of freedom to show off his creative talents.

Although he started the game on the left, both of his assists for Aaron Ramsey came from the right hand side.

His assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came from a central position.

If he can take some of the creative burden off Mesut Ozil and regularly supply his teammates with quality service, he’s going to be some signing for us.
