Arsenal are keeping an eye on Hamburg’s 17-year-old defender Josha Vagnoman, according to reports.

Vagnoman, a 17-year-old left back currently playing for Hamburg’s youth team, is being watched by Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat.

That’s according to the S*n, who report that Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also interested.

Vagnoman has yet to sign professional terms with Hamburg and could be signed for free at the end of the season.

The S*n’s report also mentions that this prevented him from featuring for the first team against Borussia Dortmund.

The club have already benefited from Mislintat’s connections in Germany and could do so again.

Arsenal do already have a promising left back in the youth team in Josh Dasilva, who has already made his first team début for the club.

However, they haven’t produced many quality defenders down the years, so bringing one in couldn’t hurt.

Vagnoman is a German youth international and featured for the u17s during the last year’s u17 World Cup in India.

He played three times in the competition, including the quarter-final, when they were eliminated by Brazil.

Arsenal do like to recruit promising young players from abroad.

Vagnoman could be the latest to make the trip.
