Arsenal remain interested in Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani, but have yet to make an offer, according to reports.

Rugani has been linked with Arsenal for a few years now.

His name has come up in several transfer windows, but nothing ever comes of the rumours.

The 23-year-old is now a full part of the Juventus squad and is getting more game time.

Even now, Arsenal remain interested in him, according to the player’s agent.

“Daniele is doing well, he’s happy. Arsenal? They didn’t make an offer, but they did show their interest. We respect Juventus,” he told Radio Sportiva (via Calciomercato).

Arsenal could do with strengthening their defence and Rugani would be an excellent option.

He’s regarded as one of Italy’s brightest talents and could become a leading defender at Arsenal for many years.

Unfortunately, Juventus are not going to let go of such a talent, especially not one that’s been with them since he was a teenager.

Arsenal would likely have to offer a very large fee to convince them to sell.

A move looked viable a couple of years ago when the Italian wasn’t playing regularly.

This season, he’s made 15 appearances for Juventus and looks set to top the number of appearances he made last year.

It’s looking like Arsenal will have to look else where for a centre-back.
