Arsenal could replace Arsene Wenger with Luis Enrique this summer and they have the advantage over Chelsea if they decide to do so, according to a report in Spain.

Mundo Deportivo report that Arsenal and Chelsea are both considering changing managers in the summer.

Former Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique, is reportedly high on both their lists of targets. The Spaniard still hasn’t found a new club after leaving the La Liga club last year.

Reportedly, Arsenal have the edge in the race, because former Barcelona sporting director Raul Sanllehi joined the North London club.

If results continue in the same vein for Chelsea, Antonio Conte might not last much longer, however. The defeats to Bournemouth and Watford, both by three goals, leaves him on the brink.

With Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City coming up in their next three games, it’s not going to get any easier any time soon.

If Conte goes before the end of March, Chelsea will surely steal that advantage away from Arsenal.

Whatever you think about Wenger leaving in the summer, it seems very unlikely the board would sack him midway through the season and I doubt Enrique will wait around if the Blues make him an offer to start immediately.

Unless, of course, he prefers a more stable club that wouldn’t sack him the season after winning the Premier League.
