Even though Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly urged Arsenal to sign his former Dortmund teammate Ousmane Dembele, the 20-year-old allegedly wants to join Chelsea on loan instead.

According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, Dembele is pushing for a loan move next season, with the 20-year-old’s preferred destination being Chelsea. However, Barca are allegedly demanding a record fee of £13m.

After suffering a hamstring injury, which kept him sidelined from September to January, Ousmane Dembele has struggled to get into Barcelona’s first team. Especially after they splashed a reported £142m on Philippe Coutinho in January.

The 20-year-old has only made three La Liga starts since his return to fitness.

With this in mind, the attacking midfielder is reportedly keen on a loan move next season in order to get more playing time. This is despite Barca paying Dortmund almost £92.5m to bring him to Catalonia last summer.

As previously mentioned, Dembele would apparently prefer a loan move to Chelsea over Arsenal, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

If the Daily Star are to be believed – which they’re usually not – this is bad news for Aubameyang as the 28-year-old was reportedly ‘urging’ Arsenal to sign his former Dortmund teammate.
