Stephy Mavididi could be out for three weeks after pulling his hamstring against Oxford United.

Mavididi, who is currently on loan at League 1, Charlton, was forced off in the second half during a 3-2 loss to Oxford last Saturday.

The forward will undergo a scan to discover the extent of the injury.

According to Charlton manager Karl Robinson, he could be facing a three week spell on the sideline.

“We still don’t know. We thought it was only a 10-day and now think it could be three weeks,” he told South London Press.

“We are doing a scan this morning [Monday].”

The injury comes at a bad time for Mavididi, as he was enjoying a good run of games in the Charlton side.

After managing just 333 minutes of football in the Championship with Preston, he’s already played 328 minutes for Charlton.

He’s also scored twice and assisted once in that time.

The 19-year-old will want as much first team football as he can get before returning to Arsenal.

He’ll be hoping that this latest hamstring injury doesn’t effect him too badly.

It was a hamstring tear that cut short his loan at Charlton towards the end of last season.

All being well, he should be fit for Charlton’s trip to Wimbledon on the 3rd of March.
