Lucas Perez missed a penalty to make it 13 games without a goal and Ben Sheaf returned from injury for his first game with new loan club Stevenage, as nine Arsenal loanees featured over the weekend.

Lucas had the chance to give Deportivo La Coruna their first win in 10 league games when Espanyol’s Esteban Granero brought him down inside the box, but the Spaniard saw his penalty saved well by Diego Lopez. The match finished 0-0.

Ben Sheaf made his debut for Stevenage, playing the second-half of their 2-0 defeat to Notts County. Sheaf spent the first few weeks of his loan on the sidelines, after picking up an injury in just his second training session with the club. It’s good to see him return to fitness, despite the disappointing match result.

Kelechi Nwakali played 90 minutes as Maastricht beat Almere City 3-0. He now has five starts with Maastricht in a month since his January loan. That’s as many as he got in the first half of the season with VVV-Venlo.

Chuba Akpom completed Sint-Truidense’s 2-0 defeat to Oostende, but couldn’t score his second in two games. Julio Pleguezuelo played the full match as Gimnastic De Tarragona drew 1-1 with Barcelona B.

Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall both featured in Birmingham City’s 2-0 defeat to Barnsley. Bramall came on to replace Jenkinson in the 83rd minute.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide started his first match with Angers, as they beat Lille 2-1. He played 76 minutes. Tafari Moore came off early as Wycombe Wanderers went 4-0 down to Morecambe at home. After his 63rd minute substitution the hosts pulled it back to 4-2.

Emi Martinez and Takuma Asano were unused substitutes over the weekend, and Marc Bola didn’t make the squad for Bristol Rovers. Krystian Bielik, Stephy Mavididi and Joel Campbell all missed out through injury.
