Liverpool are interested in signing Jack Wilshere on a free transfer should he not extend his contract at Arsenal, according to reports.

Wilshere is still to extend his contract at the club and could be available for free in the summer.

Several clubs would surely be interested in signing him. According to the S*n, one of them are Liverpool.

They report that Liverpool see him as an ideal replacement for Emre Can, who is also out of contract in the summer and is not expected to sign a new deal. Klopp said of the Can situation, “Sometimes a player just wants to sit out his contract.

“That’s not cool for the club, but there are moments in which you have to accept it.”

According to a report from the Daily Mail last month, Arsenal offered the midfielder a new deal with a reduced basic salary but greater incentives and bonuses.

The S*n also report this in their story, claiming that Liverpool would match the £90kpw Jack is currently on.

At the moment, though, we have no idea if Wilshere has accepted the Arsnenal offer, or if he’s still negotiating with the club.

Wilshere loves the club and has spoken openly about his desire to stay.

He’s also receiving plenty of first team football.

Unfortunately, the ongoing uncertainty about his contract situation means that a move to another club in the summer can’t be ruled out completely at this stage even though all signs point to Jack renewing at the club he loves given how often he has said that’s exactly what he wants to do.

It’s not surprising Liverpool would want Wilshere, what would be is him going there.
