Andre Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly met with AC Milan chiefs to discuss the future of his client amid rumours that the 22-year-old could be signing for Arsenal or Everton.

Silva only signed for Milan from Porto for €38m (£33.5m) in June 2017 but Arsenal and Everton are already being linked with the 22-year-old.

According to Calciomercato, both Premier League sides have been given a boost in their alleged pursuit as the striker’s agent, Jorge Mendes, recently met with Milan chiefs to discuss his client’s future.

Apparently, Mendes might be willing bring his client to England after the World Cup, since he’s not impressing in Italy.

Silva is yet to score a single Serie A goal this season, but he’s only been handed five starts. He’s netted eight in other competitions, including six in the Europa League.

With three-and-a-half years left on his contract, it’s unlikely that the Portuguese international, who’s scored 11 goals in 18 caps, will be moving soon.

If Jorge Mendes did meet with Milan chiefs to talk about the young forward’s future, as Calciomercato report in their exclusive, that doesn’t necessarily mean the player is leaving. He might just be inquiring about more playing time.

Last season, Silva took Liga NOS by storm, netting 21 goals and providing eight assists in 44 appearances. Therefore, it’s easy to see why Milan paid £33.5m for such a young striker. Would they honestly let him leave a year later?
