Vlad Dragomir posted pictures on Instagram after video game developers, EA Sports, updated their FIFA 18 squads to include the youth midfielder with Arsenal.

At the start of the season, Dragomir hadn’t made enough of an impact to earn inclusion in the game. He’d never had a senior call up and still hadn’t fully made the jump from the u18s to the u23s.

This season that changed. The 18-year-old travelled with the Europa League squad to play BATE Borisov, although he didn’t make his debut that day. Since, he’s been a permanent fixture for the u23s, scoring five and assisting one in 13 appearances. Clearly that was enough to get FIFA to notice him:

It’s nice to see the Romanian enjoying putting himself among the current first team players. He might only be 54-rated at the moment, but every youth player has to start somewhere. If he keeps developing on the pitch in the way he’s doing this season, I’m sure he’ll get an upgrade in FIFA 19.

The attacking midfielder has had to adapt a lot this campaign, playing wherever the team need him. He’s played up front, on the left as a wing-back, on the right and in central midfield. If he can impress fans under those circumstances, I’m sure he’ll do even better when he nails down one spot.
