Petr Cech remains an injury doubt for Arsenal, while Tottenham can call upon Toby Alderweireld and new signing Lucas Moura for Saturday’s North London derby.

Cech was forced off during the 5-1 win over Everton last weekend and still hasn’t returned to training.

Speaking in his pre-Tottenham press conference, Wenger said he still wasn’t sure if Cech would be available, and that he wouldn’t take any risks with his number one keeper.

“We had a few problems with Petr Cech, who we are not sure about at the moment because he’s not trained. I don’t know if he will be available,” he said, as reported by Arsenal.com.

“I will not take any risk if he’s not 100 per cent fit, for sure, because I have full confidence in David Ospina.”

Cech’s absence would mean a return to the side for David Ospina, but a decision on who will play won’t be made until Friday.

“I have no problem with [selecting Ospina]. David Ospina or Petr Cech: I will make that decision tomorrow.”

Wenger also said that Danny Welbeck has a chance of returning to the side after recovering a hip injury he picked up in the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth last month.

He also expects Nacho Monreal, who also had to go off against Everton, to return to the side.

Otherwise, Wenger said that the squad should be similar to the one that beat Everton last week.

As for Tottenham, they don’t have any injury concerns.

Key centre back Toby Alderweireld is available again after playing 90 minutes against Newport County in the FA Cup on Wednesday.

New signing Lucas Moura is also able to play after missing the last two games.
