Liam Brady was disappointed by the efforts of Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Tottenham, and felt Harry Kane worked harder than all of them.

Arsenal’s new signings put on a show against Everton at the Emirates, but were dragged down by the team’s woeful away form.

None of Ozil, Mkhitaryan or Aubameyang were able to effect the game against Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Spurs’ leading man, Harry Kane, went on to score the winning goal of the game.

The striker’s work ethic caught the eye of Arsenal legend Liam Brady, who thought he worked harder than Arsenal’s three key players combined.

“They were terrible. Ozil was anonymous, Aubameyang offered nothing and Mkhitaryan has made all sorts of mistakes on the ball,” Brady said on BeIN Sports.

“Harry Kane scored a great goal but his effort, compared to our three star players, was a distance apart.

“Kane worked harder than all three of them put together.”

The work ethic of the players is always questioned after disappointing results.

Spurs did work harder than Arsenal, but that doesn’t mean Arsenal weren’t working hard, either.

The key difference was that Spurs had a plan, and Arsenal didn’t.

Whatever effort Arsenal did put in was ineffective.

The game was a sobering one after the Everton result, and a reminder that a couple of new signings aren’t going to make things better.

The team will continue to have problems regardless of who is playing until the manager is changed.
