Arsenal’s new signings took to social media to express their delight at their first match at the Emirates Stadium, after the Gunners won 5-1 against Everton.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first goal for his new club in the opening 45 minutes of the match.

He agreed with the Arsenal Twitter account that the Emirates Stadium is already starting to feel like home:

Mesut Özil was also playing his first match since signing a new contract with the Gunners.

Although he didn’t contribute on the scoresheet this time, he was integral to Arsenal’s play as usual. His first-half pass to Aubameyang could’ve resulted in a goal on another day.

Özil tweeted that he’s feeling very positive about the future after that match:

Of course, it wasn’t just the new signings who were happy to get the win.

Hector Bellerin posted that he enjoyed the team performance in the thrashing:

Alex Iwobi also seemed pleased, particularly after some fans questioned Arsene Wenger selecting him.

The Nigerian international proved he can still fit in the new team with a solid performance.
