On Wednesday night, Alexis Sanchez made his second start for Manchester United and managed to lose 2-0 to Spurs.
I imagine it’s fair to assume that after putting pen to paper on his £600k-per-week United contract last week, Alexis was probably feeling pretty pleased with himself.
However, just two games into his career as a Red Devil, the Chilean has been dragged flailing and stropping back down to earth.
United were beaten 2-0 by Spurs in their Premier League clash after Christian Eriksen scored in the first minute and Phil Jones netted an own goal in the 28th.
Alexis was up to his usual tricks, dropping too deep when his manager had asked him not to.

Needless to say, Arsenal fans found this pretty amusing.
Considering how poorly the Gunners have played this season, we need to take every bit of enjoyment we can from football and this definitely warrants some smugness.
Sure, United are 11 points ahead of us in the Premier League table; we’re in sixth and they’re in second. Sure, they’ve won 16 league games this season to our 12.
But there are very few things on this planet sweeter than seeing Alexis’ sour face staring frustratedly at his new teammates.
Here’s what Twitter had to say:

Giroud taking down Chelsea from the inside, Sanchez taking down United. I rate it.

At this rate , instead of booing Sanchez when he come to Emirates we will just go LOL

Alexis does actually run around aimlessly, like a headless chicken. I’ve never really noticed it at Arsenal as people said it was passion & desire. Non-Gooner friends were right; looks stupid.

If you didn’t laugh at Dele Alli booting Alexis Sanchez for literally no reason whatsoever you’re dead inside.
