Arsenal are somewhat hilariously being linked with Barcelona forward, Ousmane Dembélé.

Dembélé left Dortmund, where he played with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, last summer and joined Barcelona for a reported £96m.

Since moving to Catalonia, the 20-year-old has only made two La Liga starts and spent most of his first half-a-season sidelined with a ruptured thigh muscle.

The introduction of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool last month and Antoine Griezmann’s expected move from Atletico Madrid means Dembélé could struggle even more for regular game time next term.

According to Don Balon, who aren’t exactly the most reliable outlet for Arsenal gossip, Barca are willing to allow the France international leave in the summer after just one season at the club.

Arsene Wenger allegedly sees the young forward as the ‘new version of Thierry Henry’, which I’m pretty sure every outlet says about every young, french forward nowadays.

The Spanish outlet reports that Barca would be willing to allow Dembélé to go to north London for just €60m – or £53.3m. That’s a £40m drop in price after just one season, which seems more than a little suspect.

Aubameyang is supposedly keen for his former Dortmund teammate to join him at Arsenal. Unfortunately for him, this story stinks.
