Arsene Wenger has revealed Sead Kolasinac, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil don’t have much chance of playing against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday morning, Wenger revealed that Kolasinac, Koscielny and Ozil could all miss out on Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Chelsea at the Emirates.

“At the moment our injury list is quite long. We lost Kolasinac, Koscielny in the game [at West Brom],” he said. “The two who have a little chance… Ozil might have a test this morning. Koscielny is 30-70 available.”

Kolasinac, who has a ‘30%’ chance of playing, was subbed off in the 37th minute of the Gunners 1-1 draw away to West Brom on New Year’s Eve. However, the fact that he has any chance of playing at all suggests that his knee problem isn’t hugely serious.

Koscielny was also taken off at the Hawthorns after his dodgy Achilles appeared to completely give up the ghost. It’s unclear when he’ll be back in action.

Mesut Ozil, meanwhile, missed the trip entirely after suffering a slight knee problem. Not having the playmaker in Wenger’s side against the Baggies proved costly as the Gunners really struggled to create… just about anything. Against Chelsea this could be devastating.

Also sidelined are Santi Cazorla (ankle), Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Nacho Monreal (ankle) and Olivier Giroud (hamstring).

Ramsey, Monreal and Giroud are expected to return in mid-January.

Arsenal really can’t afford any more injuries.
