It seems that Arsene Wenger may finally have had enough of Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin at Arsenal, and could move the pair on this month.

It feels like something has changed behind the scenes at Arsenal. Overnight, strong rumours that Francis Coquelin could be signing for Valencia popped up from nowhere, and Theo Walcott’s potential move to Southampton seems to be going ahead.

After a combined two decades at Arsenal, what made Wenger finally decide to say goodbye to two of the Gunners’ most frustrating players? Has the Frenchman finally had enough?

After 21 years of sticking by players and giving them chance after chance, has he finally reached his limit when it comes to having that faith thrown back in his face?

It seems so.

Theo put in a terrible performance in the FA Cup on Sunday, but there were rumours concerning a move to Everton. Links to the Saints were already swirling well before that.

The English forward has been given numerous chances to prove himself since he moved to north London in 2006. He’s played as a winger and as a striker. He’s held the club to ransom and is one of the highest paid players at the club.

However, he’s so inconsistent that Wenger can’t rely on him at all. Walcott is wasting wages and he’s wasting everyone’s time, including the boss’.

Wenger has completely frozen the 28-year-old out of the first-team this season, despite netting 19 goals in 37 appearances last season. He’s yet to make a single start in the Premier League so far.

Meanwhile, Coquelin, who joined Arsenal in 2008, has made just one Premier League start and played for a total of 177 minutes over seven league appearances. The 26-year-old didn’t even make the squad to travel to Forest.

Is enough finally enough? Are they both finally leaving?
