Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is with his family at Dortmund Airport, as a potential move to Arsenal continues to edge closer.

Florian Groeger, a contributor for German publication Ruhr Nachrichten, captured the footage of the player arriving at the airport just after midday on Tuesday.

According to David Ornstein on BBC World, Dortmund still haven’t sanctioned Aubameyang’s departure just yet. They aren’t willing to do so until they find a replacement. Still, Arsenal remain confident that they’ll sign the striker before Wednesday’s deadline.

The 28-year-old arriving at Dortmund airport just makes that seem even more likely. It’s hard to come up with any reasonable explanation other than he’s catching a flight to London.

The fact he brought his family along is also a positive sign. There wouldn’t be much point bringing them on a trip if the move wasn’t going to happen.

Of course, that doesn’t mean a deal is complete. Arsenal will want to get Aubameyang’s medical and photos done just in case, either way. It’d be embarrassing if the transfer went through late on Wednesday and they didn’t have time to get a medical done.

That doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t fall through if Dortmund don’t get their man. Let’s stay optimistic though.
