England Women manager Mo Marley has named Jordan Nobbs, Leah Williamson and Danielle Carter in her squad for a 10-day training camp.

The FA announced that the trio will all return to the squad after their call-ups for the World Cup qualifiers in November.

Nobbs is now on 50 appearances for the national side, and Carter is up to four. Williamson joined the squad for the first time in those qualifiers, so she still hasn’t made her international debut, but she did make the bench against Kazakhstan in the last match.

The camp aims to give the team the chance to focus on some areas that need improving. Casey Stoney will join the technical staff for the camp, as she continues to work towards her UEFA A Licence.

Marley, who remains in charge on an interim basis at the moment, said: “After a well-earned break and time off in December, players will be ready to push on and prepare for the SheBelieves Cup.

“This is a tournament with outstanding teams where we will need to be at our best, and everyone will want to be a part of this. La Manga is crucial for our preparation and an ideal opportunity for players to compete for selection.”

It’s not clear whether this will interfere with the Arsenal Women’s match against Reading on Sunday, but I think it’s safe to assume they plan to leave after the match’s conclusion. The FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup semi-final is due to kick off at 14:00.
