Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s move to Arsenal has more or less been completely overshadowed by Alexis Sanchez’s transfer to Manchester United and the Armenian must feel a little bit miffed.

Most Arsenal fans are over the moon that we’ve signing Mkhitaryan. We were supposed to sign him for £25m from Borussia Dortmund in 2016. But then United came in with their stupid money and the playmaker’s stupid agent Mino Raiola came in with his stupid advice and it never happened.

Now that it IS happening, we’re pretty chuffed.

The 29-year-old racked up 32 assists and scored 23 goals in his final season in the Bundesliga. Anyone who had watched the Armenian said he would be a great signing.

Unfortunately though, Alexis’ shock transfer to United in exchange for Mkhitaryan has completely overshadowed the playmaker’s move to a club he revealed he supports earlier in his career.

If the Gunners had signed Mkhitaryan at any other time, the transfer would be getting a much more positive reaction because it wouldn’t be tied to our ‘best’ player going in the other direction.

You can therefore probably understand why the midfielder might feel a little frustrated with the timing of the mood. I know I would.

I, for one, am ecstatic that Arsenal are signing Mkhi. I reckon he’ll be a fantastic addition to the squad, he’ll be truly appreciated and I can’t wait to see him in red and white.
