Lisa Evans and Emma Mitchell have both received call-ups for Scotland’s upcoming international clashes against Norway and Russia.

Evans and Mitchell have both been called up by ex-Arsenal Women manager, Stacey Kerr, for Scotland’s international challenge matches against Norway and Russia.

The clash against Norway at La Manga Club, La Manga, takes place on Friday, January 19 and kicks off at 5pm (UK time), while the Russia match at Pinatar Football Arena, San Pedro del Pinatar, takes place on Monday January 22 and kicks off at 2pm.

Evans has already been capped 66 times for Scotland and scored 15 goals. The 25-year-old forward signed for Arsenal from Bayern Munich in June.

Mitchell, meanwhile, has been in north London since 2013. The 25-year-old defender has been capped 44 times for her country and has netted seven goals since her debut in 2011.

Both Arsenal players will be pleased to get another chance to represent Scotland. Fortunately, the international matches don’t clash with their club fixture list. Arsenal face Reading in the Conti Cup on January 14 and then again in the FA WSL on January 28.

Hopefully they both come back in one piece.
