Former Leeds United right-back and BBC pundit Danny Mills reckons that Manchester United should come in with a big bid for not just one but two of Arsenal’s top players in January.

Mills reckons that United should come in with a big bid for Mesut Ozil AND Alexis Sanchez in January.

“They’ve talked about Ozil,” said Mills, who made over 50 appearances for City, on Final Score. “How about about Sanchez?

“I know people are expecting him to go to City but suddenly what if United come in for a big bid for Sanchez and Ozil.”

Ozil and Alexis both have under six months on their current contracts and while Ozil has been linked with a move to the Red Devils, the Chilean is rumoured to be going to the blue side of Manchester.

I really doubt there’s any chance of Arsenal selling Ozil and Alexis to United. No matter how big the bid. If they were both to go on a free, that’s up to them. However, the PR nightmare that would come from Arsene Wenger selling his best TWO players to Jose Mourinho would be inescapable.

As it stands, while Alexis looks as if he probably will reunite with Pep Guardiola at City, Ozil could actually be staying in north London.

For a number of weeks now, the 29-year-old has been rumoured to be putting pen to paper on a contract extension and he’s definitely been playing as if a weight has been lifted.
