Lucas Perez provided an assist in Deportivo’s stalemate, while Jenkinson and Bramall finally played together for Birmingham. Bola’s Bristol Rovers beat Doncaster, as Nwakali made his second-stint debut.

Perez started Deportivo La Coruna’s match against Levante, and assisted his second goal in two games early on. Adrian Lopez turned home the Spaniard’s free-kick in the first 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, when the referee showed Deportivo’s Celso Borges a red card, their manager decided to withdraw the Arsenal loanee before the end of the first half. The match ended 2-2.

Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall started their first game together since August, in the FA Cup against Huddersfield. The match finished 1-1, so they might both get another chance in the replay after a long time on the sidelines.

Marc Bola played the full 90 minutes for Bristol Rovers in their 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers. The Pirates came from behind to win in Bola’s 14th start of the season.

Kelechi Nwakali made his second debut for MVV Maastricht on Friday, in a 3-1 loss.

Arsenal recalled the Nigerian from his spell at VVV-Venlo and sent him back to Maastricht, where the 19-year-old spent last season on loan. The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of the defeat.

In other news, Ben Sheaf picked up an injury that will delay his debut by at least a couple of weeks.

Takuma Asano didn’t play in Stuttgart’s 2-0 loss to Schalke. Emi Martinez stayed on the bench for Getafe’s 1-1 draw with Sevilla. Joel Campbell is still missing with injury, and Stephy Mavididi’s match with Charlton was called off.
