Juventus are monitoring Hector Bellerin ahead of a potential move in the summer, although Arsenal aren’t likely to sell given their lack of depth in the position.
Juventus may be looking at right-backs as their current first choice, Stephan Lichsteiner, is 34. According to Tuttosport via Football Italia, Hector Bellerin is one of the defenders they’re looking at.
They speculate that Arsenal’s current struggles could see the 22-year-old attempt to leave in the summer. It’s not unreasonable to suggest that Bellerin could ask to leave.
He was heavily linked with Barcelona in the summer and seemed open to the move despite recently signing a new long-term contract at the club. Arsenal stood firm, and Barcelona went on to sign Nelson Semedo from Benfica instead.
They could now face interest for yet another big club in the summer. Bellerin started this season in poor form, but has been one of our better players in recent weeks.
The Spaniard scored a fantastic equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea, and got on the scoresheet again in 2-1 loss to Bournemouth.
As the only decent right-back in the squad, Arsenal will be doing all they can to keep hold of him. The likes of Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson aren’t close to featuring in the Premier League in his stead.
