Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain youth player, Yacine Adli.

According to reports from France, Arsenal, as well as Bayern Munich and Barcelona, are keen on signing Adli.

The 17-year-old, dubbed by fans as the ‘French Fellaini’, could follow in Claudio Gomes’ footsteps and turn down the chance to sign a professional contract with PSG in favour of a move away from France.

Gomes is reportedly joining Manchester City in the hope of getting more first team opportunities. Ah, the dreams of youth…

Adli, who’s been capped 16 times and netted six goals for France’s u17s, has scored once in just five appearances for PSG’s youth side this season, so you can understand why he might not see his future with the Ligue 1 giants.

The midfielder, who idolises Zinedine Zidane, may only be 17 but, at a club like PSG, it would be all too easy to get forgotten in their youth system, especially as an attacking player.

Whether Arsenal actually want to sign Adli or not remains to been but the link itself makes huge sense and Le10Sport’s headline asks the question, is ‘Arsene Wenger ready to steal a nugget from PSG?’ rather than claiming it’s a done deal or even close.

The teenager is a young, French, attacking player, who would no doubt get a chance to play more in north London than he is in France – even if it’s only for the Gunners’ youth side.

Although Bayern and Barca are bigger clubs, the Gunners’ willingness to give youngsters a chance could be a real selling point for Adli.

We also know Wenger would never turn down the chance to add another a young attacking midfielder to his collection.
