Everton are reportedly considering a move for Theo Walcott in order to replace Aaron Lennon, who’s out of contract at the end of the season.

With Burnley allegedly willing to offer 30-year-old Lennon a two-and-a-half year contract at the end of the season, Everton are said to be on the hunt for a replacement. And the Toffees are reportedly eyeing up Theo.

Sam Allardyce apparently only wants to sign the 28-year-old on loan, which is probably a good idea considering how inconsistent Theo is.

The forward has only made eight starts for Arsenal this season and all of these have been in the League Cup or Europa League.

He’s yet to make a single start in the Premiership, has only been subbed on four times, and wasn’t even in Arsene Wenger’s squad from November 18 to December 16.

With only a year-and-a-half left on his current contract with Arsenal, it’s likely that Theo will be looking for a move, and a loan spell at somewhere like Everton for the rest of the season is probably the best thing he can do for his career right now.

If he wants any chance of getting an England call-up for the 2018 World Cup, it might be his only hope.
