Arsenal are reportedly close to offloading Theo Walcott to Everton.

The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for Theo this month and it appears they’re close to finalising a deal for the 28-year-old.

The BBC’s David Ornstein, also known as the Ornacle to Gooners, claims Arsenal will get ‘in excess’ of £20m for the forward, who has 18 months left on his current contract.

When Ornstein reports something, you know it’s probably going to happen since the reporter only seems to share information he’s 100% sure about. This makes him very reliable when it comes to Arsenal rumours.

Theo has been at Arsenal for almost 12 years but it’s definitely time for him to go. He’s yet to make a Premier League start this season and it does look as if Arsene Wenger has given up on him.

Everton on the other hand could actually hand the England international proper game time ahead of the World Cup this summer, which seems to be what Theo wants.

The money Arsenal get for Theo will allegedly go towards signing Bordeaux forward Malcom (£40m) or Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Ornstein also says the Gunners are after Manchester United playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez but no deal has been made and the ball seems to be in the 28-year-old’s court.

The BBC reporter also points out that it’s highly unlikely that Arsenal will sign all three.
