Arsenal want 21-year-old Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon in a £20m+ deal as Manchester City and Juventus follow the player.

The Independent write that Boca Juniors have no interest in selling the winger this month.

However, they would be open to a transfer later in the year, when their Copa Libertadores run is over at the end of November.

The Argentine club also have a title charge to think about. They’re currently top of the Superliga Argentina (formerly the Primera Division), so they’ll want their best players to stick around in the hopes of retaining their title.

Pavon started the season impressively, scoring three goals and providing six assists before the end of October.

He’s had a rougher patch in the last couple of months, going five games without a goal contribution.

Nonetheless, the right-winger, who can also play on the left, clearly caught the eye of some of Europe’s top clubs.

TyC Sports (via voetbalzone.nl) write that Arsenal are willing to pay up to £26.6m for the Argentinian. But they claim the Gunners won’t bring the player to North London until the end of the calendar year.

Meanwhile the Daily Star are calling Pavon an ‘Alexis Sanchez replacement’.

They say his explosive game would perfectly suit the fast paced Premier League.

We’ll have to wait and see if that’s true.
