Arsenal attacking-midfielder Trae Coyle has signed has first professional contract with the club.

17-year-old Trae Coyle has signed on professional terms with the club, Arsenal have confirmed. Speaking to Arsenal.com after putting pen to paper, he said: “I want to be the best I can, win as many trophies as I can and just be remembered.”

Coyle is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects at the club. Known for his excellent technique and skill, he plays as an attacking-midfielder or on the flank.

He signed for Arsenal when he was nine, after previously playing for Charlton at the time, only joining the Gunners because he and his family were fans of the club. Coyle appeared in the UEFA Youth League while he was a schoolboy, and is now a regular at u18 level.

This season, he’s scored three goals in four games. Two of those came from the penalty spot in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa. Coyle also made his debut for the u23 side earlier this season.

Coyle follows another exciting talent in Xavier Amaechi in signing a professional contract at the club. The attacker knows exactly what he needs to do to make the step-up to the first team.

“A lot. Work hard every day. I think the main thing is giving them a reason to pick you or to involve you, that’s probably the biggest thing.”

It seems a number of promising attackers are coming up through the ranks to join the already impressive collection of young talent at the club.
