Chelsea are reportedly keen to offload David Luiz, even if it’s only on loan, but they won’t allow the 30-year-old to move to Arsenal.

According to Express Sport, Chelsea can’t wait to get rid of David Luiz following his alleged training ground bust-up with manager Antonio Conte. However, the Blues simply won’t allow the 30-year-old to sign for anyone in the Premier League.

This means that the centre-back could see himself being sent out on loan to Juventus in January instead of moving across London to Arsenal.

I’m not sure that Chelsea refusing to sell one of their players to Arsenal – or Manchester United – is exactly ground-breaking.

We’re rivals and although Conte may not want Luiz anymore, he’s still a defender the Blues sold to PSG for £50m in 2014 and then bought back for £34m two years later.

He’s made a combined 194 appearances for them.

And even though Arsenal do need a centre-back since Per Mertesacker is retiring from playing at the end of the season and we never replaced Gabriel, I’m not sure I believe we’re genuinely interest in Luiz.

The Brazilian, who has 18 months left on his current Chelsea contract, hasn’t played in the Premier League since their 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the end of October.

This is said to be because of his aforementioned training ground bust-up with Conte after Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Roma in the Champions League.

Luiz is now allegedly suffering with a knee injury.
