Arsenal will have to move quick if they want to sign Rafina, as Celta Vigo reportedly want to sign the Barcelona midfielder on loan this month.

Arsenal had been linked with Rafinha during the summer, though there was never anything to the rumours. If they do have any interest, they’ll have to move soon as Celta Vigo are looking to sign the midfielder on loan again, according to Sport.

Rafinha spent the 2013/14 season there on loan, and did well enough to become a part of the Barcelona first-team squad the following season. Since then, his career has been hindered by multiple injuries.

The 24-year-old has yet to make a single appearance for Barcelona this season, and his place is now under even more threat after the arrival of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.

While he could strengthen Arsenal’s midfield, his history with injuries and lack of fitness would make him a risky purchase mid-season. In addition, there are simply better players out there who the Gunners could sign without worrying about a potential ailment.

This is a case where a move to Celta might actually be better for him, in my opinion, while Arsene Wenger casts his eyes on better talent.
