I know Arsenal players love to wrap up warm during training but Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil looked downright ridiculous at their Saturday session ahead of Nottingham Forest.
Ozil and Lacazette donned snoods, hats, gloves and tights in order to try and combat the sub-arctic (or 4 degrees Celsius…) temperatures at London Colney on Saturday morning.
Although Laca looked cozy with his 100 layers, Ozil looked hilarious considering his snood practically covered his eyes.
Lacazette has only been in the UK for six months, so I can imagine it’s difficult for him to get used to not having a winter break and having to train in such conditions.
However, our German playmaker has been here for almost five years! Surely he’s used to the English winter by now?
Regardless, I’d rather they wrapped up warm and kept themselves injury free.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s new £2m signing, 20-year-old centre-back, Konstantinos Mavrapanos, took part in his second training session alongside the Gunners’ first team.
The Greece u21 international didn’t seem at all bothered by the cold. In fact, he just wore a high-necked, long-sleeved top and shorts.
Rob Holding also chose not to wrap himself up like a mummy.
Arsenal face Nottingham Forest away in the FA Cup at 4pm on Sunday.
