Arsenal reportedly paid Michy Batshuayi’s loan fee for Dortmund so the Bundesliga club would sanction Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move to north London.

According to the Evening Standard, the Gunners upped their fee for Aubameyang by the £1.3m loan fee Chelsea are reportedly demanding from Dortmund in order to bring Batshuayi to Germany until the end of the season.

After allegedly not reporting to Chelsea’s team hotel ahead of their clash against Bournemouth, Batshuayi has shown up in Dortmund – the 24-year-old appears to be getting his medical.

If Arsenal really did pay towards the Belgium international’s loan fee in order to secure Aubameyang’s signature, we must really have wanted him.

We reportedly ended up paying £55.5m for the 28-year-old on a three-year deal earning him £180k-per-week.

Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud is reportedly going the other way to Chelsea as the Blues are now  even more desperate need of forwards.

The 31-year-old will apparently sign on a two-and-a-half year deal and cost Chelsea £17.5m.

The big guy was allegedly spotted at Chelsea’s training ground on Wednesday morning but no deal has been agreed yet.
