Arsenal might recall Carl Jenkinson from Birmingham City this month, so they can loan him out to a new club.

The Englishman has only made one appearance since August thanks to injury.

The right-back joined Cohen Bramall in making a temporary move to Birmingham in August. At the time, Harry Redknapp was manager, and he seemed keen on bringing the pair to the club.

However, Jenkinson fell injured, Redknapp was sacked, and since then the 25-year-old hasn’t played. The Daily Mail write that Arsenal plan to recall him this month, once they find him a new loan move.

The Gunners did the same thing with Stephy Mavididi last week. They recalled the 19-year-old from Preston North End and sent him to Charlton. So far, it seems like a great decision, with the young striker starting and scoring in his first game at the weekend.

Perhaps a new loan could help Jenkinson achieve a similar revival. But he also might have more chances at Birmingham if he sticks around.

Birmingham Mail write that Emilio Nsue is close to a move to Apoel this week. If he leaves, the Blues would only have one right-back in their entire squad, other than the Arsenal loanee, so it might be worth waiting to see what happens there first.
