Jonny Evans could leave West Brom for as little as £3m if they are relegated this season, according to the Daily Star.

Evans is interesting several clubs this month, but might not be on the move until the summer.

According to the Daily Star, the defender has a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave for just £3m if West Brom are relegated this season.

They add that the Baggies would sell for £23m this month, and that Evans would prefer a return to Manchester.

Manchester City and Arsenal have been linked with him the most frequently.

If such a release clause exists, then the decision should be rather straight-forward: wait until the summer to sign him.

West Brom are one of the favourites to go down this season and have won just three games all season.

There’s a good chance they’ll be relegated if they don’t dramatically improve.

Arsenal could always do with strengthening their defence, but have seven options to choose from to play centre back.

They can surely manage until the end of the season before buying yet another defender.
