Arsenal u18s thrashed West Ham 5-1 to continue the club’s great run at youth level.

It’s now five wins in six games for the u18s as they beat West Ham earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).

The fixture had been re-arranged due to Arsenal’s commitment in the FA Youth Cup.

It was that competition that deprived the squad of several of their key players, as one eye was kept on Friday’s tie against Middlesbrough.

Armstrong Okoflex, surely the best name at Arsenal at the moment, made his first start alongside keeper Daniel Barden. Florian Balogun, who had five goals this term, started up front.

West Ham took the lead through Bernardo Rusa after a positive start to the game. They were pegged back within 10 minutes, with Balogun grabbing the equaliser.

Defender Harry Clarke put the young Gunners ahead seven minutes before half-time, before Balogun added his second just before the whistle.

Arsenal controlled the second-half and got a fourth after substitute Jordan McEneff set-up Clarke for his second.

Okoflex rounded off the scoring with eight minutes of normal time to play.

It was yet another win for Arsenal’s youth teams, who haven’t lost a game since November 20th.

Arsenal sit second in the table, but are still some way off league leaders Chelsea.
