Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash is relishing the chance to play Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Cash could line-up against Arsenal on Sunday during the third round of the FA Cup.

The 20-year-old was only a kid when Forest were in the Premier League playing top-class opposition every week.

He hasn’t experienced playing against the big teams, but rather than be scared by it, he wants to enjoy the occasion.

“It is not a game to be daunted by, it is something to relish – playing against the top Premier League players. It is a dream to play a team like Arsenal, isn’t it?” Cash told the Nottingham Post.

“It will be good to come up against the likes of Jack Wilshere and Arsene Wenger is one of the best managers in the world. It will be good to come up against them, without question. We want to test ourselves.

“There will be a great atmosphere at the City Ground and it is a big game for us to look forward to.”

Forest have been in a bad run of form and recently sacked their manager, Mark Warburton.

His assistant, Gary Brazil, will be in charge on Sunday as the club continues to search for a new manager.

Arsenal visited the City Ground as recently as last season.

The two sides met in the third round of the League Cup.

On that evening, Arsenal were 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Granit Xhaka, Lucas Perez (two) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

None of those players will feature this time around, but a number of exciting youngsters could be playing in their place as Arsenal look to take the first steps towards winning the FA Cup for a 14th time.
