Arsene Wenger revealed the latest Arsenal team news on Friday morning ahead of their clash with Newcastle this weekend.

Arsenal host Newcastle on Saturday afternoon hoping to bounce back from two disappointing draws against Southampton and West Ham but who will be available for selection?

Shkodran Mustafi is back in full training after being taken off in the first half against Manchester United. While the boss does admit that including the centre-back in the startling line-up against Newcastle will be a bit of a risk, it’s a possibility.

Unfortunately, Aaron Ramsey is set to miss three weeks with a hamstring injury. The midfielder was really struggling during the final few minutes at St. Mary’s last weekend and missed out on the trip to the London Stadium midweek.

Whether the Wales international will ‘only’ miss the congested festive period or whether he’ll be out for longer, considering he’s had problems with his hamstrings before, remains to be seen.

“Mustafi is back in training today,” Wenger revealed. “I don’t know if I will include him tomorrow, it’s still a little gamble and apart from that we will have to see how everybody recovers. We’ll see today in training, but we have no basic problem.
“Of course Aaron Ramsey will not be available, I said that he will be out for a little longer and that will be maybe three weeks that he is not in contention.”

Alexandre Lacazette was rested against the Hammers because he’s been suffering from a groin problem.

The 26-year-old came on for the final eight minutes of regular time against West Ham, so obviously presumably it isn’t serious.

Theo Walcott also misses out with a groin injury.

Obviously Santi Cazorla (ankle) is still sidelined.
