After Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield on Wednesday, Arsene Wenger revealed who’s likely to be available for the Manchester United match on Saturday.

Much to Arsenal fans’ dismay, Alexandre Lacazette was subbed off at half time in favour of Olivier Giroud after suffering a groin injury.

“It is an injury,” said Wenger. “It looks like a groin injury and he is certainly out on the weekend [against Manchester United]. He might be out for a while.”

Obviously, we love Giroud and the 31-year-old went on to score a brace. However, not having our main striker on the pitch against United will be a blow. Laca has scored more goals at home than any other Premier League player this season (five), so he would almost certainly have been useful against Jose Mourinho’s men.

Even more worrying is that Wenger doesn’t seem to have a clue when the 26-year-old is returning.

Another concern for the Gunners is that Alexis Sanchez apparently suffered a problem with his hamstring during the Terriers clash, which is why the boss took him off in the 73rd minute.

“Alexis had a little hamstring problem – that’s why I took him off but I think he will be alright,” said the boss.

Wenger does reckon the Chilean will be fit and ready for the United game though, so that’s a plus and he was in full training on Friday:

Santi Cazorla is unfortunately still out for the foreseeable future after undergoing a NINTH surgery on his ankle.

Other than this, everyone else seems to be fine and ready to welcome Mourinho to the Emirates again.
