Rob Holding has hinted he could be starting against West Ham in the Carabao Cup this evening.

Holding is in line to start against West Ham in the Carbao Cup quarter-final as Arsene Wenger rotates his side.

The defender may have suggested he’ll be getting a start when he posted on Twitter that he was looking forward to a London derby.

Holding typically tweets before the matches he’s been picked to play in.

Arsene Wenger was always likely to change up his starting eleven during this busy winter period.

While the team are just a win away from a tournament semi-final, the Carabao Cup still isn’t high up on the list of priorities.

Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny has been playing a lot of games recently and will certainly have the night off so he’s fit and ready for Liverpool on Friday.

Likewise, Nacho Monreal has been an ever present in the Premier League this season and will get a break.

That leaves two central defender berths open, one of which will likely go to Holding, and the other to Per Mertesacker or Calum Chambers.

Holding’s last start for Arsenal came in the 6-0 win over BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
