The Arsenal fans were not impressed with Theo Walcott’s performance against West Ham in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

It’s fair to say Walcott didn’t have his best game against West Ham on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, we’ve been saying that a lot this season as the 28-year-old has struggled to find any sort of form or consistency.

A lot of that has to do with the sporadic nature of his appearances and the fact he’s limited to just cup games. However, he doesn’t look like a player eager to take his chance and impress the manager.

Although Arsenal won on Wednesday night, his struggles didn’t escape the attention of the supporters.

Perhaps his worst moment on Wednesday was the header he missed in the first half. Despite having the freedom of the penalty area and having the time to take a touch, Walcott opted for a header and put it well-wide of the post.

An in-form Walcott probably takes that chance. His general play was inconsistent, as every time he managed to beat someone with the ball, he failed to produce a good cross.

The January transfer window is fast approaching and we’ll soon see if Walcott continues to struggle at Arsenal, or makes the move elsewhere for a fresh start.
