West Brom’s £18m signing Nacer Chadli has been ruled out for another two months after suffering a reoccurrence of a hip injury.

Chadli, who signed for West Brom from Spurs in 2016, hasn’t had the best of luck with injuries this season and ahead of the Baggies clash against Arsenal, the 28-year-old has now been ruled out for another two months.

The winger limped off just 16 minutes into West Brom’s 3-1 defeat away to Stoke on December 23 and Alan Pardew has confirmed he’ll be out for a while.

“Nacer looks like his injury is as bad as it was originally,” said Pardew. “Coming out of the Stoke game that was probably as big a blow as the defeat.”

The Belgian had only just returned from a muscle fibre problem that had kept him sidelined for 36 days.

West Brom’s record signing has made just three Premier League appearances this season and scored one goal. Last term, he made 31, scoring five and assisting five. You can understand why this is such a blow for Pardew.

The Baggies are also missing Salomón Rondón (hamstring).

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still without Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Nacho Monreal (ankle), Olivier Giroud (hamstring) and, of course, Santi Cazorla (ankle).

Ramsey, Monreal and Giroud aren’t expected back until mid-January. Therefore, just like against Crystal Palace, we could see Calum Chambers stepping in at centre-back.

The Gunners really missed Rambo at Selhurst Park. However, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil managed to keep our midfield ticking over for the most part.

I expect they’ll have to step up again at the Hawthorns.
