Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in Hertha Berlin youngster Dennis Jastrzembski, and the Gunners may lead the chase given he’s an Arsenal fan.

Jastrzembski has been impressed for Germany u17s and Hertha u19s. His performances have earned the attentions of both Arsenal and Manchester City, according to latest reports.

The 17-year-old is out of contract in the summer, when he’ll be 18 and eligible to sign professional terms with a club. Apparently, he’s also an Arsenal fan, so that might give us the edge.

Jastrzembski was a member of the Germany team that made the quarter-finals of the 2017 u17 World Cup in India. He appeared three times in the competition before his side bowed out to Brazil. He’s now hoping to soon make his debut for Hertha in the Bundesliga.

“I hope that I make it into the 1.Bundesliga and make my debut there for Hertha BSC,” he told Sportbuzzer. It’s possible that Hertha will fast-track him into the first-team in an attempt to ward off interest from elsewhere.

He turns 18 in February, and will know he can get a big contract from one of Europe’s biggest clubs. However, the Bundesliga is a good place for young players to develop. The next few months will be pivotal in determining his future.
