On Saturday, Arsenal lost their first Premier League game at the Emirates since January 2017.

Manchester United put an end to Arsenal’s impressive home record this weekend with their 3-1 win at the Emirates.

Before the defeat to Jose Mourinho’s men, the last game Arsenal had lost at home in the Premier League was, rather embarrassingly, against Watford on 31 January 2017 – 11 months ago.

We had only lost twice on home soil during the entirety of this year and one of those was against Bayern Munich, although the less said about that one the better.

The Gunners went down fighting with a whopping 33 shots on goal. However, that doesn’t make me any less bitter.

This isn’t the first time United have waded in and ruined our party. After Arsenal won the Premier League unbeaten in 2003/04, our first defeat the following season was 2-0 against the Red Devils. However, at least that was at Old Trafford.

While the loss on Saturday is a little disheartening, the overall performance wasn’t and we were never going to win them all. The result can’t be helped now. All we can do is look ahead to our final Europa League group stage clash against BATE Borisov on Thursday and then our trip to Southampton. Oh joy.
