Arsenal will rival Chelsea for the signing of Atletcio Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, according to reports.

Carrasco is said to be losing favour with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and would welcome a move.

That’s according to Merca Futbol, who report that Arsenal are prepared to “fight” with Chelsea for the Belgian.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to pair the 24-year-old with Belgian teammate, Eden Hazard.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could lose Alexis Sanchez soon and will need a replacement.

Carrasco has been a regular for Atletico Madrid since joining from Monaco in 2015.

However, he’s been in-and-out the team this season and hasn’t started in La Liga since a 1-1 draw with Barcelona in October.

He could even fall further down the pecking order as Atletico will be able to play Spanish winger Vitolo in the second half of the season.

Carrasco has plenty of experience at the top level and has scored in a Champions League final.

His form in Spain has yet to explode, but he still possesses a lot of ability.

If Atletico are willing to sell him, Arsenal should seriously consider him as an option to strengthen their attack.

The La Liga side will, apparently, accept an ‘interesting economic offer’ should one arrive.
