Reported long-term Arsenal target, São Paulo youngster Marquinhos Cipriano, will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement in March.

Cipriano has reportedly been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time and now it appears that he can sign a pre-contract agreement in March as his current deal runs out in September 2018.

Considering the forward allegedly has a €30m release clause, it makes sense that we could be waiting.

The 18-year-old apparently wants to stay and develop in Brazil, and São Paulo are keen to keep him. However, an offer from a big European club could allegedly change his mind.

Cipriano caught the attention of the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, Nice and Arsenal when he played for Brazil in the 2017 Toulon Tournament.

Porto, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also said to have made contract.

With very little information about the youngster around, given his age, it’s hard to know whether Arsenal are genuinely interested. What’s more, given the amount of top clubs allegedly trying to sign him, I’m not sure whether we’ll even have the chance.

Cipriano is set to take part in Brazil’s biggest youth tournament, Copa São Paulo, for São Paulo’s u20 squad in January.

I’m sure we’ll hear more about him after that.
